SmartTRAK: Hello, I'm Elizabeth Anderson, a senior analyst with SmartTRAK. I'm here today with Chris Broderick, who is the CEO of Merakris. We're going to talk a little bit about Merakris and their new product in development, MTX-001. So I'll kind of ask, to start, Chris, can you tell me a little bit about Merakris and the history of it and how MTX-001 came into existence?
Chris Broderick: Sure. Thanks for having me here. Merakris Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company and has a mission to be the first company to have an FDA approval for a biologic that's derived from placental or amniotic origin. The genesis of Merakris was a lot of regenerative medicine claims were coming from placental-derived tissue sources, and as they should, there is quite a bit of regenerative potency within placental-derived tissues. There's certainly been a large market and demand in the industry beyond just wound care. And it really has been kind of mysterious on what the key drivers are of the regenerative medicine signals that come from these tissues. And so we sought to scientifically discover, follow the science, and it put us in a position to pursue wound care as kind of our lead indication platform.
