SmartTRAK: The title of the summit is Regenerative Era is Underway. Given your experience in the space, seeing technologies come and go, what aspects make you feel that the regenerative era is underway, rather than it being more hype than actual? What makes you think it's more real now?
Dr. Daniel Grande: Well, I would say that first of all, with the recent things, recent events such as the FDA approval of AGILI-C, which is, I think, a landmark, because that's one of the first not only cartilage repair products that are available, but also for osteoarthritis. So, it has a dual mode of action. I see Kolon TissueGene in phase three clinical trials. That's exciting, because their approach is a little different in that it's more of what I view as one of the challenges in osteoarthritis, which is that there's more than... It's not just treating the disease of cartilage per se, but the organ system that is the joint. And this concept of return to homeostasis is a hallmark of my intrinsic belief in what we need to do to convert just one product into something that's treating the whole joint as a whole. So M1 macrophages to M2s are kind of my new dream, combined with an anabolic procedure such as AGILI-C or another program like that.
And then, of course, having been involved with the earliest cell-based therapies for cartilage, the advent of the MACI is something that I'm very glad to see the continued evolution of that. But more importantly, I think, and I still am not sure why this is the case, but why there isn't more allogenic off-the-shelf availability of that, and why is that ...
