SmartTRAK: Hi, this is Tracy Martellotta with SmartTRAK. I'm the senior analyst for shoulder arthroplasty. I'm here at the Shoulder360 conference with Lexi Lewis of restor3d. She's the vice president of commercial development for upper extremities. Thanks, Lexi.
Lexi Lewis: Excited to be here. Appreciate you having me.
Great. Well, we're going to talk to Lexi about their new shoulder vertical, which is really exciting for restor3d. Shoulder's a new vertical for you following your FDA approval in 2025. Can you tell me a little bit about the new Veritas System and what you set out to solve with this system?
LL: We really got into shoulder about three and a half years ago, looking at where can we bring our technology into the upper extremity, and complex glenoid deformity was the obvious answer. So really, with the Veritas System, that's our first step in bringing a full shoulder platform to shoulder arthroplasty. With that, we have found that with the custom technology we could take a surgeon's most complex case of the day and turn it into the easiest.
They asked us why couldn't we do that for all their patients? And so, as we continue to build off the first clearance of the Veritas System, it's to bring patient-specific shoulder arthroplasty to your everyday patient. We are waiting an FDA clearance for that patient-specific baseplate, and should be hearing that very soon.
That's great. Given restor’s roots in 3D printing and patient-specific design, just how much of that DNA made its way into your new shoulder platform?
LL: This question really hits on the beauty of restor3d. We've been able to learn and iterate through those complex cases, and that is the foundation for everything that we're doing in shoulder. Both the humeral stem as well as the baseplate side are 3D printed with our TIDAL Technology. Even more important is ...
