Hello, this is Freddy Buntoum with SmartTRAK and I'm here today with Mr. Antoine Turzi, the CEO and founder of Regen Lab. Good afternoon, Antoine, and first off, can you tell us a little bit about your professional background and how you would describe Regen Lab to someone who had no idea what your company is all about?
Antoine Turzi: Okay, Freddy, first of all, thank you for having me. Happy to see you again. And yes, happy to speak about my recent career in this regenerative medicine field. Regen, take his name from regenerative medicine. And 25 years ago when I started, I must say that it was a new growing field, very little experience. And one of the first cellular therapy that was understood was the PRP.
And it is true that, when we started working in this field, we were looking for technology, look at what's existing on the market. There was some technology existing in the United States, but based on plastic container without separator means of the blood components and the result somewhat were quite poor. It was similar to a buffy coat technique described by Dr. Cohn in the year 60 when they were the first understanding and publication of how to make the blood fraction and red separation.
And of course, those techniques were not satisfactory because the platelet count was not high and the clinical outcome was medium. So I took the initiative to speak with Becton Dickinson. They were experts in the tube and blood fractioning and we designed together the first ...
